I am beyond thrilled to announce I passed my Living Ayurveda Consultant exam! And, I’m offering a FREE Special Offer for anyone interested in Ayurveda!
For those of you who are not familiar with Ayurveda, in a nutshell, it is considered the “science of life” or “science of yoga.” The system of Ayurveda involves a variety of healing techniques and tools to bring balance, longevity and healing to their mind, body and soul/spirit. Ayurveda uses the full spectrum of yoga, meditation, herbs, food, nature, healthy lifestyle habits, massage, breathing exercises and supplements.
I started my Ayurveda training 14 months ago and it has truly changed my life! I was blessed with the opportunity to visit Kerala, India where Ayurveda has a long history dating back thousands of years. I was able to experience various Ayurveda oiling and massage treatments like Abhyanga and Shirodhara, as well as interact with esteemed Ayurveda physicians.
I first heard about Ayurveda nearly 16 years ago when I first started practicing yoga. My friend Shalini’s mother was an Ayurvedic practitioner when she lived in India. So, Shalini explained a little about Ayurveda and I became curious about this ancient healing art. It wasn’t until years later that Ayurveda came back into my life when I lived in Indonesia. I first received Shirodhara – an oil treatment that helped calm my nervous system at an Ayurveda spa in Ubud, Bali.
Then, Ayurveda entered my life again when I started studying Prana Vinyasa Yoga, an advanced yoga teacher training with Shiva Rea, world-renowned artist and yoga teacher. As part of our training, we could incorporate Ayurveda into yoga, which was perfect! My Ayurveda teacher Maria Garre, offered a comprehensive year long training which completely opened up my world to the beauty of the seasonal cycles, the depths of the 5 senses and the undeniable power of nature in our lives. For me, the intersection of Ayurveda and Yoga is where I live.
Part of my training involved practicing Ayurveda treatments on myself, which I loved! There were various issues I worked on during my training: seasonal allergies, losing weight, improving my digestion, decreasing stress, eating healthier and decreasing inflammation. I am happy to say through changing some lifestyle habits, understanding how to live and thrive within the seasons, I eliminated or dramatically decreased those issues. Most of my results came from practicing specific yoga sequences, working with nature and choosing foods that have natural healing properties. Over time, I started to practice consulting with my friends and family, recommending supplements, nutritional guidelines and daily lifestyle changes. They immediately noticed many positive changes through these Ayurvedic remedies.
Honoring your teachers is an important part of yoga and Ayurveda. So, I have nothing but gratitude, appreciation and respect for all my healing arts teachers, like Shiva Rea, Maria Garre and all the wise Ayurveda pioneers like Dr. Vasant Lad and Robert Svoboda, who continues to bring Ayurveda to the western world, making it accessible to us.
Now that my training is over, I am ready to take more clients and share this life-changing information. I was ecstatic when Banyan Botanicals reached out to me to partner and provide people with the highest quality Ayurvedic herbs and products. Everything Banyan makes is organic, sustainably sourced and traded fairly. I will be sharing my experience with some of their products in the future!
During the month of April, 10 lucky people will receive one 20-minute Ayurvedic mini-consultation for FREE!
We’ll set up a time to discuss any concerns you may want to work on, see how Ayurveda can assist you and which Ayurveda programs will be best for you.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me during my trainings! I am finally at the end of a glorious chapter in exploring healthy living and wellness, now it’s time to share that information with the world!
It is never too late to thrive towards healthy living!
Cheers to health, vitality and longevity!
