HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
I know I went ghost (disappeared) towards the end of 2017, but I decided to take the last few months of 2017 to focus on my own self care and to get ready for 2018! There’s a lot of new things on the horizon! But first, here’s a quick update!
I am re-committing to vibrant, holistic, healthy living rooted in yoga, meditation, Ayurveda and spiritual growth.
My intentions for 2018 are to be more flexible, adaptable and balanced through mind, body, spirit (MBS) practices.
All my 2018 offerings, services, teachings and events will be based around MBS healing arts, so if you need support in living in balance, stay tuned! I’ll be sharing some events and FREE offerings for those of you who want to connect with my online classes.
There are some new partnerships, collaborations and initiatives happening that will positively impact Robyn’s Healthy Living! I’ll be increasing my digital presence this year and also hosting some pop-up events in Atlanta!
Did I mention I turned 40!! WOW! Where does the time go? It feels like such a BLESSING to have made it this far in life, since so many do not! My wisdom has taught me and shown me that healthy living and balance are keys to happiness and quality of life. It’s NEVER too late to start living in balance!
“HOLLYWOOD of the SOUTH”
I will say, even though 2017 was a doozy and I was thrilled when it came to an end, it brought me some surprising opportunities that I was NOT expecting!
I started dabbling in background acting here in Atlanta! It definitely took me out of my comfort zone and into a new world of imagination and creativity! There are so many opportunities in the film and TV industry that as of 2017, according to the Hollywood Reporter, “ATLANTA has officially surpassed Hollywood in feature film production!”
I was super excited to take part in three major productions; a blockbuster sci-fi feature film AND 2 TV shows for BET and FX networks! One show is award winning and critically acclaimed! It was a ton of fun…and hard work! I’m proud of the Atlanta film industry, they really know how to incorporate locals into their art and commerce!
The first TV show airs on BET, January 23, 2018! Can you guess the show? (smile!)
I also taught a Yoga and Meditation wellness course at Spelman College. It was a joy to share what I love and to interact with some of the brightest, smartest African-American women in the country through yoga!
And to support the growing Women of Color wellness community, Robyn’s Healthy Living offered the first two wellness scholarships in partnership with Cultivate Union, a not for profit based here, to support yoga teachers in deepening the impact of yoga in Atlanta.
Lastly, I fell completely in love with Pilates Reformer, a movement based exercise to support the spine and core and increase joint flexibility, strength and mobility. You’ll hear me raving about this through the year. I’m starting to fuse pilates into my yoga classes.
What’s your intention for 2018?
