In yoga, we use the term “Kula” which in Sanskrit means “a community of the heart” or a group of people intentionally coming together. Our Atlanta Kula (or “tribe” as I like to say) is continuing to grow in Atlanta AND online!
I’d like to give a huge THANK YOU (and warm hug) to everyone who attended the Spring Open House, celebrating the Ayurveda season of Kapha, here in Atlanta! We had a wonderful evening with yoga, movement meditation and deep relaxation! I had an opportunity to share with people my love for Ayurveda, the sister science of yoga which uses nature’s seasons and elements to help people live a more harmonious and balanced life.
After our yoga class, we all sat around for a brief talk, where guests were able to ask questions about Ayurveda and hear how these amazing healing arts have impacted my life the last few years.
I look forward to more of these events. I love meeting students outside of some of the places I teach and also meet people who are new to The Yoga House Atlanta kula! Community organizing, networking and bringing like minded people together are a passion of mine!
After our yoga and movement meditation sessions we enjoyed a seasonal feast of Ayurvedic food, specifically for the Kapha season! As the night progressed we turned up the music, had a delicious spring inspired spritzer, which led to some hilarious conversations and lots of laughs! People were able to arrive by themselves but leave with new friends and acquaintances.
The evening of the open house was a “blue moon”, a term used to describe when there are two full moons within the same month. So, the Open House was truly a “once in a blue moon” experience!
For those people who attended the open house, received a free goodie bag and special savings on all the new Ayurveda packages and summer specials! I know there were many people who wanted to be there but couldn’t make it, so I hope to see you at the next one! But, please know we held space for everyone and sent you love and positive energy in your absence.
This summer, I’m launching the next phase of Robyn’s Healthy Living, so if people were not able to make the spring open house, there will be another one coming up towards the end of the summer! So, when I send out the “Save the Date”, make sure you do just that because space fills up fast!
If you aren’t living in Atlanta, no worries, I have something special in mind for you too! This summer, I’m also launching some special Online Yoga +Ayurveda programs. I’ll be offering videos, SnapChats and Skype consultations! And, I’m also working hard to take some of these projects and events on the road, so I may just be in your city very soon! If you’d like to invite me to your city, please let me know! I love to travel!
GRATITUDE & APPRECIATION
Thank you to Keme Hawkins, Assistant Director of The Yoga House Atlanta for your endless creative and logistical support! Thank you to Kenny Davis and Andrea D. for your gracious service to our growing yoga and wellness tribe! I really appreciate all your help throughout the evening. Sending you all lots of love and gratitude!
And as always, thank you to my mentor Delamay Devi and healing arts teachers Shiva Rea, Maria Garre and Michael Sitzer who continue to support me as a student and teacher in the local and international yoga community. I’m so humbled that I can share what I’ve learned with my family, friends, clients and students!
