Thank you to everyone who came to the Summer Open House to celebrate the summer light of the Ayurveda season of Pitta. If you live in the U.S. Pitta season tends to fall within the summer months when it’s hot and the light shines longer into the evening.
During the Summer Open House, we started the day with a mix of Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga, exploring Surya Namaskar (often known as ‘Sun Salutations’). The yoga sequences were created to calm the fire within the body and mind with cooling yoga postures and pranayama (yoga breathing exercises).
We ended the class with a soothing meditation and visualization to teach people how to connect with the elements within the body and outside in nature.
I debuted the Fall 2016 10-Day Detox and Purification Cleanse, an Ayurveda and Yoga program which will take place October 21-30, 2016. If you aren’t in the Atlanta area, you can still participate through our Online cleanse group!
Afterwards, guests were invited to stay and mingle, while feasting on an Ayurveda menu of Pitta friendly vegetarian and vegan brunch dishes which included a Mimosa toast! Everyone who attended the Summer Open House received a special gift and a 10% Savings on all services and classes through Oct. 1, 2016.

Each Ayurveda season I’m hosting a complimentary event for my Ayurveda clients and my yoga students at The Yoga House, Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and various gyms in the Atlanta area. The Open House seasonal event is a fun way to bring together our growing yoga tribe in a relaxed, positive and sacred space.
Missed this event? Make sure to attend the Fall Open House, which will take place in December 2016. We’ll be celebrating the Ayurveda Vata Season and spreading holiday cheer!
